My favourite part is close to the end of the book, when Veemer actually gets to see Griet`s hair and that`s such a break through in her life. She then goes have her thing with Pieter. that event was kind of liberating for her, and at the same time she kind of let herself be used by Pieter, I don't know, that is really my favourite part.
I really enjoyed the interview. I felt like reading the other book!
My favourite part of the book is in the last page of it, where Griet says" A MAID CAME FREE" . It is quite interesting that, although she had already gone from Vermeer's house 10 years ago, she still felt like being a maid, till the day that she could "pay Pieter back" the price he had paid for her - that 15 guilders that the Vermeers owed him. After this moment, I guess that she is totally free to start a new period of her life and be really happy.
